“Declaration 1776: The Big Bang of Modern Democracy” is coming to Wellington!
The Sumner County Historical & Genealogical Society, the Wellington Public Library, and the Chisholm Trail Museum are partnering to bring “Declaration 1776: The Big Bang of Modern Democracy,” a traveling exhibit from the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, and presented in Kansas by Humanities Kansas.
The exhibit will be hosted in Wellington from June 27th to July 26th, 2026!
The exhibit will be located at the Chisholm Trail Museum, 502 North Washington, Wellington, directly across from the Sumner County courthouse.
The museum’s normal hours are from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
