“Declaration 1776: The Big Bang of Modern Democracy” is coming to Wellington!
The Sumner County Historical & Genealogical Society, the Wellington Public Library, and the Chisholm Trail Museum are partnering to bring “Declaration 1776: The Big Bang of Modern Democracy,” a traveling exhibit from the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, and presented in Kansas by Humanities Kansas.
The exhibit will be hosted in Wellington from June 27 – July 26, 2026!
As of 27 February 2026, the Wellington Public Library and the Chisholm Trail Museum will share the hosting time, and the locations will be posted at a later date.
The dates and hours for each location will be posted here on this website, and on the Wellington Public Library’s and the Chisholm Trail Museum website as well.
The Kansas tour of “Declaration 1776” is presented by Humanities Kansas.
